Sigh

Well, Typepad’s been down all day, which is just ridiculous. And I’m not the only one to think so.
How much work IS involved in hosting your own blog, anyway?? (grin)

Oh well, at least it’s back. All I had to do was republish my blog (under the Design tab) to get everything back as of yesterday. That, at least, is a relief!

Tannenbaum.
House Calls

You’re back, too!
I completely admit that I’m thinking about going elsewhere. My cousin hosts my flyball team and frisbee club websites for me – I’m going to have to ask him about blog stuff.
I’ve thought the same thing, but I just don’t want to get stuck trying to write code – especially since I don’t know how and only occassionally have to fudge it to get my blog to look right.
I love the self-hosting now that most of the bugs are handled. I use Serendipity and my provider is Site Ground. They’ve installed the script and helped me every step of the way. Whenever I have a problem, my help ticket is responded to within five minutes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week ;o) Oh, and it costs less than Typepad and I have full access to my code – and CSS isn’t hard to learn ;o)
