Anyone else feel like listening to Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band today? Because today’s the day . . . “When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now. Will you still be sending me a Valentine? Birthday greetings? Bottle of wine?”
Happy 64th Birthday, Paul!

(I couldn’t help this. I was a HUGE Beatles fan in high school in the early 80s–two decades late for the real Beatlemania, but still . . . this is a big milestone for a rock star, especially since he was the one who wrote the song. Really, how could I have let this pass? He always was my favorite Beatle.)

Hey, thanks for putting that song in my head again! DH played it many times on Friday. I had to resort to Klezmer and Zydeco to get it out. Right now, I just saw a post from a person with the username Penny Lane…arrgghhh!
Isn’t that so cool. My dad used to waltz around singing it to my Mom - esp on his 64th b-day.
Heh, our local public radio station just played When I’m 64… I wonder if Paul wishes he was 65 today?!
That’s the song that RR and I will be dancing to at our wedding :o)
I’m such a big Beatles fan that my DAUGHTER knows all the words to all their songs ;o)
