Calm
I actually have remarkably little to talk about tonight. I started my second sock.
I know–the excitement is really high here, too.
Well, I did talk to Liz on the phone tonight, which was nice. She decided to call instead of sending e-mails back and forth, and isn’t it interesting? I never think to do that with my “online” friends, the ones I’ve met via the wonders of electronic technology. Even Risa, who I see every few weeks. We always make our get-together plans via e-mail. We’ve only ever talked on the phone a couple of times, other than a “I’m running about 10 minutes late” kind of call. And yet, friends I’ve made through other venues? Telephone calls are the norm.
Otherwise . . . well, really, not much! I got a couple books from Amazon. We got Chappy out for a walk at lunch time–a fortuitous choice of timing, since we had some pretty heavy rains this afternoon.
Hey, has anybody else seen the show Psych on the USA network? Mom and I have been watching it for the last few weeks. Well, actually, it’s on at 10:00 EST, so actually, we’ve been recording it and watching it on Sundays, but we’ve watched each episode, and I’m just tickled pink about this show. It’s about a fellow who has a photographic memory, highly honed since childhood by his ex-policeman father, which he uses to solve mysteries. Except, the police department thinks he’s a psychic. And except for his rather overdone psychic “visions,” this show is just highly enjoyable. There have been points in each so far where I’ve laughed out loud, which is never a bad thing!

House Calls
I’ve really been enjoying Psych too. The psychic episodes are really cheesy, but the show is pretty clever and a perfect complement to Monk and House.
Boy, I really have exciting Friday nights, don’t I?
I saw the previews for Psych on network tv and thought it sounded like the perfect thing for me but without cable, oh well. Guess I’ll just wait until Dancing with the Stars begins in the fall.
I think the chemistry between the “psychic” and his high-school buddy is hilarious. Another hit for USA, the channel I watch most of all (except for Law and Order on TNT).
Wait, wait, WAIT! An order arrives from Amazon…..and involves books…..and you don’t share at least a picture of the loot?!?!? You didn’t think we’d even notice that you received books because of the off-hand way in which you mentioned it and just went on, huh? C’mon…give a gal who has to get most of her books from the library a break! Please, share.

I have Psych recorded, all the episodes to date, but I haven’t been able to pull together 90 minutes to watch the pilot and I hate to break up a pilot over a couple different sessions…
Psych makes me laugh out loud. It’s just a silly little escape from reality and I love it. Glad to see it has other fans as well.
Obviously I’ve been living in a closet because I’ve never even seen a preview for Psych. I’m going to have to check it out.
I love me some Psych. I canna watch it when it’s on, so I use my DVR to record it and I watch it and zip past the commercials! The guy who plays Psych ain’t that bad lookin’, either.
True on the phone thing. We’ve had one discussion IIRC beyond the “we’re 10 minutes late, don’t worry” kind of call. I think we joked about perhaps maybe doing the phone thing, but just haven’t.
Have to admit, I haven’t seen Psych. Might now that the tv in my room no longer gets channels 2-5. I have to look for my entertainment higher up the dial so to speak.
Heh, I trying to organize everything via email these days…
