love the curls..
and the spinning is divine!! You WILL eventually have it exactly the way you want it. promise. practice practice is the thing In the mean time, just know it’s pretty. and as my spinning teacher once told me : “if you want ‘perfect’ go by Red Heart” (grin)
thanks for the helpful info on memorizing things. I had never thought of it the way you explained it, but it makes complete sense! cool idea.. from the end. wow.

Look at all those curls, gf. Wow. I’m always doing good to get a little body going in my hair, trying for curls was always frustrating, and there, you can just wake up that way. LOL Curl on!

Poor Chappy. 5 is just really not agreeing with him is it? Definitely a good hair day! I was taking advantage of the pineapple during the winter/spring when I first started embracing the curl. Worked wonders then. I’ll have to go back now that the cooler weather is approaching and I don’t want to head to work with wet hair.

Spinning looks lovely. And yes, I would recommend at least one more WW bobbin. I usually get a minimum of three as that would allow me to spin two singles and then ply on the third without messing around with freeing a bobbin up. Which reminds me, did you get your WW for the lendrum at Rhinebeck last year? I can’t tell if the winder folks are going to be there or not.

What is up with Chappy? If it keeps getting worse, my opinion is to get a second opinion, maybe another vet will have seen this before and know how to treat it. I know Horatio gets hot spots and on occasion needs a cocktail of steriods,anti-biotics, creams and peroxide (not all taken orally mind you). But it helps get rid of them -if you want a holistic vet, I know one of them too. Tell MOM that I LIKE her wedding gift and I don’t see no dead chicken.

(a) I’m a fan of naturallycurly.com and have given into the lure of Jessicurl products. You have beautiful hair. I have a very thick, very coarse mane of graying chaos. But nc.com has helped. Right now I’m in a slump and can’t seem to find the key to frizz-freeness (and yes, I know all the tricks). I haven’t tried re:coil, however.

(b) I think your mom should be thrilled that different people see different things in her art. She’s like Jackson Pollock with thread. Of course, maybe I’m the only one who didn’t see an island right off, but then it was early, I didn’t have enough coffee, and everything looks like a chicken to me.
