Such a Monday
This was just such a Monday kind of Monday. I mean, not necessarily a horrible day, but . . . let’s see. I mean, Monday, first of all. Then, the first day back to work after my vacation, so . . . a worse Monday. And then a trip to the dentist to cap it off. Just . . . Monday.
Still, the worst day of the week is over now. That’s something, right?
And–I forgot to show you this. Liz brought me this beautiful shawl pin the other day. She picked it because she figured it would match my hair and therefore would always match whatever shawl I would choose to wear it with. Wasn’t that nice of her? It’s so very pretty.
That certainly helps a difficult day, huh?
And, here’s a look at my current spinning. I’ve got 1/4 (that is, 2 ounces) of my roving spun up. This is Corriedale pencil roving from Crown Mountain Farm, in the “Crown Jewel” colorway. I love the blues and yellows together. It’s been in my closet for over a month now and, of course, it’s only fair that it gets spun before the new stuff from the other day, right?

Tannenbaum.
House Calls

On the bright side, Monday is almost officially over! Then it’s Terrible Tuesday….
I totally hear ya on the monday-ish Monday. Hang in there. It’ll be Tuesday soon, I promise.
I love the pin AND the fiber! So, what you’re telling me is that I have to spin up all the old stuff first? Eeek.
The pin looks perfect for you and the spinning is fab as always.
my condolences on your dental visit. i had one thursday at 8 am, and my mouth finally stopped being numb around 1 pm. no lunch for me, sigh.

The shawl pin is lovely and the yellow and blue is gorgeous. I’ve always been partial to the combination.
Monday WAS tough. I had to drag myself around. Took more than one cup of tea to get started.
Dentist!! I finally had the troublesome tooth taken out! FREEDOM!
I’m so glad I had yesterday off. Except that now today feels like Monday.
I love the shawl pin! So very thoughtful
) And the Crown Jewels colorway looks great spun up. Might be a colorway I have to spin for myself…
I’m still going through all of my receipts – I think I spent just over $350. What’s your damage??
Ooooo, that shawl pin is gorgeous! And the spinning looks great too, I can’t wait to see the plied yarn and then of course the knit yarn…
Liz is such a sweetie isn’t she. That pin is gorgeous, you’ll look magnificent wearing it.

And your spinning project: fabulous. Love those colors together. Very pretty.
Bummer about having to go to the dentist on your first day back from vacation, and on a Monday to boot. Ick. I hate going to the dentist. But then, I’ve only ever known one person who didn’t! LOL
I love the pin – and the spinning looks fab!

How did the dentist visit go? I hope it wasn’t too bad. I’m one of those weirdos that doesn’t mind going to the dentist.
I can’t wait to see the resulting yarn from that lovely roving. I was coveting it even as I watched you spinning it!
I am so glad you like your shawl pin. I’m surprised at how well it really does match your hair!
