Before and After

So, here’s a look–half the yarn spun and plied, and half waiting to be spun. How cool is that, huh?

And boy, do I ever love the colors in this yarn!

Booking Through Thursday

Christine wants to know…

  1. Do you make notes in books as you read them?
  2. Why or why not?
  3. If you do, do you make notes only in certain kinds of books or all of them?

No. Never. I may have highlighted a chapter or so in a textbook in college, but couldn’t live with myself. Other than that, I’ve put my name in my books. Maybe a tiny pencil mark in the margin of about a total of three books. That’s about it.

  1. Beautiful! :)

  2. That is a great color combination. Love it!

  3. it looks great! :)

i started animals in translation last night and accidentally read 150 pages! heh.

  4. A woman after my own heart. Writing in books is the eighth deadly sin. Which my spouse commits on a regular basis. When he puts pencil to page, I wince and make faces at him as if he were poking me with needles. :(

I really need to get better at posting my BTT answers on Thursday…but I don’t think I’m going to get it to it again this week til Saturday!

  5. Wow, gf, that yarn is *gorgeous*!

  6. Great yarn. It’s funny that I don’t see that as green now but in your last post I did.

  7. Love the yarn. About the whole green thing- I just got a book from the library called “Color in Spinning” and was glancing through it last night before spinning. I happened to see a page on adding black to either blue, yellow, or red, and when you add black to red it’s supposed to make khaki. So there you go, black and yellow make green. Who knew? ;)

  8. yummy, yummy, yummy! i LOVE that stuff.

and when i was working at OTC, i would read between calls, and put a small pencil mark at the end of the sentence i was reading when i’d get a call. when the call was done, i’d erase the mark, and continue reading. new call, new mark. i’m sure i missed a few, though, lol.

  9. you’re right…the colors are wonderful!

  10. Gorgeous!

  11. Beautiful yarn!

  12. very cool…

  13. Yeah, you are right. That is cool! I adore people that can spin. Beautiful colours!
And I do so agree on your comments of the suspected book abuse. I was raised up never to leave any marks in books. That way I can always sell them to the following years as new. ;-) And it has not kept me from learning anything so far.
