I'm pretty new to your blog and wouldn't have had the chance to know her if you hadn't given us the links to your archives. We lost our 2 year old, Titania, in 1991. She was a beautiful, black standard poodle and my baby. Titania was stolen from our back yard in about a 2 minute period while she was out "doing her business." We put adds in every paper in town, signs in our neighborhood, and fliers out to the local vets and SPCA. About 2 months after she was stolen, a drunken woman called very late in the evening saying she had our girl. She would not give her back, but I think her conscience had been bothering her because of our search. It was before caller ID, and we had no way to track her down. A wonderful dog, taken from us too soon, leaves a hole in our hearts. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It is helpful to all of us who have lost our dear babies too soon. We are haunted by the possibilities for us and our dear pets. Thank you so much for posting about Katy.
