Number Three
So, you know how they say things come in threes? Well, Dad’s been having an interesting week and we’ve all been waiting for that third shoe to drop. . . .
Well, the phone rang at 2:00 this morning. It was the police, calling my 8-years-retired father because they found somebody driving through Morristown with our company truck. They tried calling the current President and the Number Two guy but had old phone numbers for them, and so they called Dad. Because the driver claimed to work for the company . . . He doesn’t, of course, but they had to check.
Poor Dad. It took him three hours to get back to sleep . . . but still, this definitely counts as number three! Sheesh….

Tannenbaum.
House Calls

Ok, that’s enough, fortune! Leave Dad alone and pick a new victim. Sheesh.
So this is number 3 and he’s next in line for something good to happen. Let’s hope it’s something BIG good.
definately enough of hassle for your Dad- I am glad that he was unhurt in the auto accident, AND, that this current mishap did not cause harm either.
your holiday knitting in the basket looks wonderful - and hmmmm, I seem to recognize a few of those goodies.. good for you. I wonder about posting some of my holiday knits on my blog as well - too funny.
Holy cow! This man needs a party! Funny, I use the same expression about the third shoe dropping
Hugs to {Chappy}
Hopefully , that’s it for bad news…
Glad the third shoe fell before this weekend! Sorry he had such a time getting back to sleep, but as bad, but not so bad things that could happen, whew.
At least the third shoe didn’t involve a hospital visit. For that we are thankful.
Sheesh! At least that’s three out of the way.
At least the mishaps got ‘easier’ to deal with. With all the bad luck out of the way, Dad should have a wonderful and stress free holiday season now.
Oh, no! Your poor dad! Well, I’m glad it was only a phone call and a few hours missed sleep. That third shoe could have been a doozy.
Bummer! I hate those middle of the night phone calls — it is definitely hard to get back to sleep after being jarred awake by the phone and knowing there is potentially bad news on the other end.
At least #3 wasn’t too horrible. And now you can relax and not wait for it!
Wow, life is wierd how it all piles up. Almost if the powers that be are wondering when you’ll throw your arms heavenward and cry “UNCLE!” Hope this is it and you have a Happy Relaxing Holiday!
Oh my… so much for staying in bed.
Cripes! Let’s hope that’s the end of it!
Well, at least the 3rd shoe dropped and wasn’t worse!! Done worrying about that…
