Spring
Yep. It finally feels like Spring. Late spring, even, since the temperature was up near 80 today . . . that’s quite a jump considering I was wearing a wool sweater and socks to work just two days ago!
We took advantage, though. Mom, Chappy and I went to the park this morning and walked for about 1.4 miles. I would have kept going, but Mom was getting tired, and Chappy was panting, so we turned back to the car at just about the .7 mile-marker. We did stop for a couple pictures . . . though Chappy was more interested in the stream than in the camera.
Afterward, we stopped at the Whole Foods market and I ran in and picked up some bread, lettuce, tomato, and turkey bacon and when we got home, Mom and I had BLTs. I do love a good BLT sandwich–and so does Mom–so we pick up some turkey bacon every now and again. It doesn’t compare to the “real” stuff, but since Mom can’t eat that anymore, I’m willing to accept a substitute now and again. Chappy’s not picky, either–he was more than happy to eat some. My little boy does love bacon!
This afternoon, all three of us relaxed. I sat and read. Mom watched a movie on TV. Chappy napped.

It’s about time, isn’t it?! Mother Nature owes us a spectacular spring after this last nonsense!
Sorry we missed you guys. I had a horse thing all day and I by the time I was able to call you back last night it was too late. It was a great day and Chappy looks like he had fun. Horatio was not happy he missed his friend AGAIN!!!!! Princess was upset too. Maybe in a few weeks we can try again…..
You know, I never realized until just now how much Chappy’s long, curly shiney locks resemble yours! It’s uncanny. You two really ARE made for each other.

sounds like a lovely day. i spent it chasing kids to mow, and spinning. would you believe i got 2 more skeins plied, and are now hanging in my bathroom? i’ve been busy!
You know… we’ve been having this hot weather for the past nearly 4 weeks (it is between 75 and 80 degrees daily). We went from winter to summer… no spring whatsoever. Pollen have been horrible. I’m normally not even sensitive to them beasts, but this year I’ve been wheezing/sneezing/coughing along with others. Trees that normally flower in May/June are already done with their flowers. Really weird…
I could make some, but it something I always forget about, until someone mentions them 
MMMM…. now I feel like having a BLT too and those are not even available over here

In Paris, it’s not spring but SUMMER with the hot weather we have!! we have jump winter to summer without having a real spring.
My mother is very sensitive to pollen, which came in april instead of june…
