Unbelievable
It’s been a relaxing Sunday for the most part–I did some laundry and cleaned the bathroom. I cooked a complete pot roast supper for all of us. (Yes, Chappy got some, too.) I read one book and started another…
We took Chappy out for a walk and met up with his two favorite neighbors, who joined us on the walk and came back to our house to see vacation/prom pictures. (Because, really, they show us pictures of their new grandchildren ALL the time, it’s only fair!) Chappy was beyond thrilled to have them IN his house.
Other than that, though? Really, it’s been pretty quiet. I’m racking my brain to come up with something more interesting to say, but honestly, it’s just been a quiet day. It’s back to work tomorrow (sigh)–something to which neither Chappy nor I am looking forward. After a whole week together practically ALL the time, the heading-back-to-the-office thing is HARD.
It’s my nephew’s 14th birthday though, today. And it didn’t even rain like it was supposed to . . . hopefully, he’s out enjoying his new bike somewhere . . .
Happy birthday, nephew.
We just really can’t believe how big you’re getting . . . and tall!
And, also? I’m out of school 18 years today.
Talk about Unbelievable.

House Calls

Isn’t it strange to realize that you did something 20 years ago, or you’ve had such and such for 25 years?!
what makes me feel old is my daughters. right now, they are both older than i was when i had them (18 & 19). they’re 21 & 22.
and i’m on the verge of school summer vacation. although it is going to be a busy one. liam is a trombone player in the band at school, and they’ve got all kinds of stuff planned for the summer. that, and i signed him up for a separate band camp, and (ahem) a credit recovery class that lasts 2 weeks. and of course, both boys WILL be volunteering at the library (sean’s not involved in anything, so this will get him out of hte house for 2 hours a day as well!) and i thought i was gonna save gas!
I am not looking forward to going to work tomorrow either. Blah!
Sounds like a wonderful Sunday! Good dinner, walk, books ahhhhhhhhh! Happy Birthday to your nephew! My 3rd child will be 14 in September and my 2nd will be graduating High School in two weeks! I just don’t know where the time has gone (now I sound like my Mom! lol).
I’m so glad you had such a wonderful vacation and I have no doubt that Chappy will miss you terribly tomorrow – give him a pat from Beau and I
I just got my invitation to my 20th college reunion. Talk about feeling old.
