The Other Birthday Girl
On Friday, I showed you some Katy pictures but today would have been Jilly’s birthday, so . . . fair’s fair, right? Jilly was a miniature-dachshund and she would have been, let’s see, 24? We got her when she was 8 months old, when I was still in high school, and we lost her in February 1999, when she was 15. Saying good-bye to her wasn’t easy, either, but at least she’d had a long, full life . . .
Yeah, we all loved her an awful lot, too….

Tannenbaum.
House Calls

Ooohhhh…I saw some cutie mini-Dachsunds at the Iron Dog this weekend. What a sweetie.
Awww, we never forget those special little fur balls in our life. She looks like a real sweetie.
I think I’ll go hug my girls.
I just lost my girl today, so I know all about how hard it is to lose a pet. I have lost them before, but, this one is fresh in my mind…
What a beautiful doxie! Those photos capture her sweet face just right!
Aw, that picture of her running is so sweet!
Man, this is a tough week! *sniff* *sniff*
i actually have a friend who has a german shepherd cross who is 21. shunka is getting up there for sure. her arthritis keeps her from running up and down the stairs, and she has to have soft dog food, but she’s a sweetheart.
You’ve been lucky to have so many wonderful dogs in your life.
We lost Ben the Dalmatian four years ago, and it still brings a tear to my eye. Attie and Wallace certainly have their own places in my heart, but each one is different and special. Cherish your memories!
