Tails

So, La wants to see asses for Wednesday?

Well, these were three of the cutest I could find.

Now, about knitting . . . have any of you been reading the Tech Knitter‘s analysis of left-slanting decreases? Brilliant. I love reading about nifty and new ways . . . or old ways . . . of doing things. Being a thinking knitter, I love knowing the whys and wherefores of why some things work and some things don’t, and her site is just wonderful for that.

Hey, let me ask you–on my other, new blog (Punctuality Rules), what do you think of the picture in the header? Good idea? Bad? Good picture? Or bad? I love the picture when it’s full-size (as seen in this post), but I don’t know . . . does it lose something at that size?

(And, why, no, of course this isn’t my lame attempt at getting you to come visit my other, brand-new blog? Why would I do such a thing??)

  1. It’s a good picture no matter the size. Love the little butts.

  2. Thanks for the heads up on the left-leaning decreases! I was just thinking I needed an alternative if I made more spiraling socks :-)

  3. I tried some of the alternative left slanting decreases on a sock toe. I’m not sure that I could see any difference, certainly not enough difference for me to immediately change my ways. It may be that I’m not yanking hard enough though (clear to anyone who has been and seen)

  4. I’m a little slow. I just now realized that the Punctuality Rules blog is YOURS! Too cool. I enjoyed the post the other day about it’s v. its. I’m a stickler for proper use of it’s and its. I’m gonna keep reading!

  5. I am always trying new left-slanting decreases, but most of them seem to much bother. For a while I was using slip as if to knit, slip as if to purl, k2tog, but that only makes a clean gusset if you’re decreasing frequently, as in every row or every other row. I mostly just SSK, because I’m lazy. And I like the pic!

  6. I LOVE dog butts!

  7. I like the header at the other blog – except the location of the Search field. :(

  8. Love the ‘tocks! (Cute Overload talk, there…)

  9. LOL! I needed that one! I really like your AWW!

  10. I love the picture and everything is so colored coordinated… why am I not surprised…

  11. I like the composition of the left two-thirds of the header (up to your photo) – nice lines and colors – but am a bit disturbed by the fountain pen. To me it looks like it’s about to stab you in the back, and we all know about the pen is mightier than the sword, the unkindest cut, etc.

  12. Nice!

  13. The other two pups are quite attractive, too, but I gotta say, Corgi butts just make me laugh. They are so cute. And I love Techknitter.
