Beautiful knitting!

I agree, it's hard to find someone to cut even moderately curly hair. Once you find someone, you never want to lose them!

Don't fret about 41. Just think! 50's the new 30! Yeah. Right.

The 15 dollars pays for itself, in the long run. Haircuts are steep. My hair has stopped being wildly curly but it's still wonky wavy and it has to be Cut. Well. Why are good hairdressers so hard to find?

The shawl is really pretty!

Love, love, love the shawl. Funny, though. I love Zephyr's wool-silk. LOL

Bummer about the haircut. Having had straight hair all my life, I have the exact opposite problem, and can often find people who are only good with curly hair, or with short hair. Long and straight stymies people.

You'll look back at 41 and go, "Hm. I know I was 41 once. Must have been to get to this age. Wonder how the year went. Must have been the same as the rest." LOL Yup. It all fades with time. Which is at once awesome and terribly sad.

There's nothing like a bad haircut to make one deeply unhappy. At least it grows out. My worst was a chop job that made bits stand straight up. I looked like a crabby plush toy. That's what can happen to straight hair gals.

The shawl is looking lovely. What's wrong with Zephyr?

Hey, at 41 you're knitting a most beautiful shawl. So it's not a total wash! ;)

Ha! I had to trim my bangs last night. I told DH I couldn't do that if I had straight hair. (Not to mention the cowlick.) No hiding mistakes. :) With the 70 degree temps, and humidity, I have more curls than usual in the "winter."
I am still congested, but the cough is mostly gone.
But my poor sister-in-law is ready for 2007 to be over. Her mother died in October, her 12 year old Westie had to be put down a couple weeks ago, and the horse she has had for 20+ years died last week.
Hope your dishwasher is better. DH keeps wondering if we need to replace ours-a KitchenAid-I have seen it used once.

"I had a class on curly hair once."

I would have run in the other direction at that statement. My stylist has curly hair himself, plus his daughter has his curls. I trust him completely and he has never sent me home with "pyramid head". I think it's definitely worth the extra $15 to have a cut that you like, and will last more than 6 or 8 weeks. I regularly go 12 weeks or so between cuts. I hope you find a good replacement for your old stylist soon.
