John Adams?

So, since we don’t get HBO any more, and since I’m such a fan of John Adams, and it’s supposed to be so good …
I don’t suppose any of you with HBO and a DVD-recorder would want to record the mini-series for me, would you, huh?
It’s seven parts, starting tonight, and stars Paul Giamatti and Laura Linney as John and Abigail Adams, and it’s been getting rave reviews pretty much everywhere. Darn it, it looks so good.

RR was ready to get HBO for me just so I could watch the series (JA is my 9th Great Uncle or something like that) but when I found out it would push our satellite bill into the ‘obscenely expensive’ category, I said no. (I know! What control, right?) I fully plan on buying it when it comes out on DVD, though so you can borrow it then if no one comes through with the DVDs for you now. :o)

We subscribed to HBO just to get this series. Took us several hours and about 5 phone calls to the cable company to try to get it working. You know, it’s amazing how much better the cable worked once we realized the cable wire had come unplugged from the cable box. It is a great series!
