Little Things
Here’s my poor spinning wheel, getting dusty, poor thing.
It’s about the best picture I have for you tonight, though I tried. Twice, while I was out driving today.
The first time was when I passed 44,444 (and 4/10ths) on my odometer. I had my camera all ready for it, and it even conveniently happened on a stretch of road where I was able to pull over to safely take the picture … but my camera’s battery was dead. Sure, it wouldn’t have been an exciting photo, but it’s a milestone of sorts. But, okay, whatever.
The second time, though? Okay. I saw a turkey.
A real, honest-to-god, Thanksgiving turkey. The kind you expect to see standing next to a Pilgrim with a musket. Not just a plain-jane kind of wild turkey, but a full tom turkey in all his feathery glory. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I pulled over to the side of the road and started to reach for my camera and then … realized the battery was still dead.
Argh!
Which means that I’m left with not a whole lot more to show you.
So, how about another spinning picture?
Oh, and here’s an interesting link. What would you think about a berry that makes sour things taste sweet?

Tannenbaum.
House Calls

Heh, very cool. I’ve seen a puffed out Turkey once. Amazing isn’t it?
Bummer about the camera battery – you’ll have to keep it charged up for 50,000!
So I found out what will draw commenters out of the woodwork – a pet birthday. I already have more comments this morning than on any other post in the past few weeks.

How frustrating!

I saw a turkey not long ago. It was a young scrawny one on the side of the road. I don’t think my brain was with it, and I was thinking, “Why is a peacock in the road?” It stood up and looked at me, and I saw it was a turkey.

If the tom turkey was displaying, there must have been ladies nearby or perhaps a rival gentleman.
