Previews

Ooh, not one, but two knitting magazine previews are up. The Fall Interweave Knits, and the Fall Vogue Knitting. I really like the Tweedy Vest in the IK, and surprisingly, the Whisper Stripe sweater–and Eunny’s Bias Stole is beautiful (like that’s a surprise?) The VK? Well, um, Jarod’s mittens are great, and one or two of the sweaters are interesting, but what on earth is going on with those socks? (Take a look at the page of previews–you’ll know right away which ones I mean!)
Added: Ooh, three! Savannahchick just put up the preview for the very first Knotions!
Okay, we’re in the middle of a big thunderstorm right now, so … this is it for me for now! I have to go comfort Chappy…

Hmmm, despite the socks, the VK issue looks much more appealing to me. That little purple top with the shawl collar and the lace across the back is adorable.
Ummmm hmmmmmm doesn’t everyone want to knit those socks? lol

The mittens are impressive. I don’t do bobbles. Um, interesting socks. I did keep the dog out of my car when I drove up in a thunderstorm. I am not forgetting the scratches on my bumper.

Yeah they’re interesting in that train wreck kind of way…… Although I am curious to see how, exactly, they are constructed!
Vogue Knitting has never really rung my bell. I do like BT’s mittens but many of the sweatersa re like Cosby sweater’s for the new millenium. Awful! And those socks! Please poke my eyes out. The fall IK is an issue I’m definitely going to buy.

On first glance, it looks like VK has enough patterns that appeal to me where I’ll probably buy it (that has NOT been the case for the last couple of issues!).
