De-Elfing
Mom’s been in Clean Up Mode lately. Because, well, it IS after Christmas and after New Year’s, and it’s time to get the house back to its usual sense of order.
I just think that it’s great that Santa’s helping with the clean-up.
He spends Christmas time in our front hallway, greeting people as they come in the house. Obviously, though, on his way back upstairs to his “room” he got sidetracked by the thought of how much cleaning we had to do, and so he stopped by the vacuum cleaner.
Maybe it’s just me, but it sure LOOKS like he’s reaching for the handle. And hey, even Chappy helps put things away after the holidays. He helped herd the Christmas tree bag down into the cellar this morning, and enthusiastically helped his Grandma vacuum.
Maybe he got the idea from Santa?

Tannenbaum.
House Calls

hubby is home de-elfing as we speak. I was so ready for the stuff to come down. God I was a scrooge this year! I usually leave it all up until after the second week in Jan.
Guess I was ready for life to be normal!

Love the image! He and his helpful cleaning elves can stop by here anytime.
Hahaha. Great photo. I’m taking the stuff down this afternoon. I have a babysitter who comes on Wednesdays, and today our joint goal is to De-Elf.

the elf piled everything up (2 piles, one on the table one in the garage!) does santa put things away as well?
Tanya’s last blog post..Wow!
When he’s done at your house, can Santa stop by my house? It needs a vacuuming.
Wow that is some vacuum cleaner! It looks positively robotic and programmable. Do you ever see yourself falling in front of it, being vacuumed and then looking out through the transparent canister?
He’s totally helping. That Santa is a gem. I keep telling Mrs Claus but she complains about his late hours. “Delivering presents, he tells me! What, he thinks I was born yesterday?” Poor Mrs. Claus.
