How Professionals Do It

You know I like to take pictures. Lots of pictures, even. But I’ve never pretended to be a professional.

For one thing, I seriously don’t have the equipment. How do I know? Because Chappy and I met a professional photographer today.

A week or so ago, I got an email from a woman writing an article about virtual parties, and she came across my blog post invitation to Chappy’s birthday last year. (Remember? Since we couldn’t have all of you to the house for cake? Chappy even picked the winner of his party favor/prize.)

Anyway, she wanted to know if she could interview me for the article, and naturally I said yes. Then, today, I got an email from an AP photo editor, asking if she could send a photographer.

Imagine my surprise when I got home from work and he was on the phone. He was actually in Denville photographing Anne at the Pink Cake Box (I’ve told you about her fabulous cakes, right?) and could be right over.

Luckily, I was having a good hair day today, huh?

Chappy thought this was all great fun. He got very excited (and barky) whenever we moved around, but he was happy to show off his tricks.

And was intrigued by a camera that didn’t shine nasty bright lights in his eyes.

How cool is that, huh? I wonder where/when/what the article will be!

And, hey, there’s a baby due any time over at the Martha’s Vineyard Fiber Farm Lambcam.
